CHIEF PLANNER / SUPERINTENDENT. SAFWAY Scaffolding & Access Solutions. Mobile, AL. (Thyssenkrupp Steel Mill Plant Construction). (May 2010 – August 2010).

·               On this project I audited the company’s material billing and work process. Furthermore, I performed an overall project analysis to determine flows in the system, and missing information.

·               Set up a process for the paper-flow between the field and the office.

·               Trained field supervision on proper procedure for paper work and basic company’s requirement.

·               Set up a tracking system.

·               Supervise night shift crews, and build scaffolds for turn around.

 

CHIEF PLANNER. THYSSEKRUPP SAFWAY, INC. Garyville, LA. (GME-Project Marathon Major Expansion Project). (January 2009 – January 2010).

·                       The Primary responsibilities included developing and maintaining a track system to monitor production, and completion progress, also to relocate personnel as needed and forecast future manpower increases or decreases, keep an accurate man count, and assign work to crew foreman and general foreman. Prepare review and broadcast main Contract Reports on a weekly and daily basis to be then discussed on contract and area meetings. These reports includes among others; * Weekly Statistics Report, *Earned Value Report, *Looks Ahead, *Area Backlogs, *Value Percent of Material, Aging Reports, and others not stated by contract such as PF Reports, Charts and overall project Charts for Fluor and Marathon analysts.

·                       Review, approve, and give out work to foreman to build scaffolds. Coordinate work in the field with General Foremen based on requisitions priorities and job phases. Relocate personnel based on area back logs and work load.

·                       To improve and set up the department I created an alternative program to plan - schedule and keep an immediate and accurate track of the worked performed on the field, as well as  the work needed using a priority system. Through this we were able to view and report an accurate picture of the work progress and also allowed us to identify any delays and its source, and better manage our man power and resources ahead of time.

·                       Reviewed approved and issued work requests from other contractors avoiding to conflict other contractors work.

·                       Train and oriented field personnel, data entry and time keepers, on paperwork, proper procedures and usage of Thyssenkrupp Safway’s Track System.

·                     Planned, scheduled  and kept track of  the company’s construction projects. Such projects included; Hyatt Aruba Renovation, CAT Show Room construction, Tierra Del Sol new construction.
